Management Team

Meet the leadership team behind Avantstar’s award-winning file viewing and web content management software.

Pete’s experience in the IT technology industry spans more than 25 years. Pete is responsible for Avantstar’s strategic vision and executive management of new business development, product development and product marketing groups. Pete’s career in the technology industry started with Control Data Corporation (CDC) in 1981 and includes executive levels of sales, marketing and general management experience over the years at industry-leading technology companies like CDC, Quantum, Seagate, and TRW prior to launching the Avantstar business.

Pete holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Computer Science from St. John’s University.

Pat has more than 25 years of experience in technology solutions and manages Avantstar’s finance, operations and sales groups. Prior to founding Avantstar, Pat was Co-Founder and Executive Vice President of Peripheral Technology Group (PTG), leading the sales, marketing and support of hardware and software solutions. Prior to founding PTG, Pat spent 8 years at Control Data Corporation in sales and marketing management positions.

Pat holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Management from the University of Wisconsin-Stout.

Ed brings more than 20 years of software development experience and leads the product development efforts at Avantstar. He was one of the original developers of Quick View Plus and has managed its development for more than 10 years. Prior to joining Avantstar, Ed was Director of Software Development for the Outside-In product line at Oracle Corporation. Prior to Oracle, Ed held key product development management roles at Stellent Corporation and Inso Corporation.

Ed holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Math from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Matt joined Avantstar in 2003 and currently leads the product marketing and product management responsibilities. Matt brings more than 15 years of product marketing and product management experience in consumer and business technology markets. Before joining Avantstar, Matt held product management responsibilities for file viewing, digital imaging and media management products at Jasc Software (later acquired by Corel Corporation) that won numerous awards and accolades.

Matt holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications from St. Cloud State University.
